Welp, just a few weeks ago I was telling you all to get outside and enjoy fall because it was going to be over soon. And now here we are, shivering against the first of the "real" winter weather. Brrr.
What constitutes "real" winter weather? Well, it's 10 degrees, everything is covered in a two-inch dusting of snow, and it's dark by 4:30 PM. The only "fall" thing that seems to be hanging on is the mud. The thick mud in the pastures just refuses to FREEZE ALREADY!! I cannot tell you how excited I am for when it freezes. Any day now, mud. Byeeeeee.
So, it's time to bundle up and put our noses to the grind-stone for some serious winter schooling. This month I ended the "fall break" I gave myself and Clay. We are going to get back in shape and try our darnedest to get past some of the Second Level hurdles that were left unresolved at the end of summer. He has been feeling GREAT lately (I think he likes the colder weather), and we are looking forward to having a couple lessons with our trainer Gina this coming weekend.
Stay warm out there!
