Our First Attempt at 1-3

At the horse show a few weeks ago, Clay and I rode First Level Test 3 for the first time. Although this test is a little outside our comfort zone at the moment (we *just* started working on counter canter), and I made plenty of mistakes during it, this was my favorite ride of the whole show. It didn't get a spectacular score but it just felt great to go out there and do our best for where we're at right now in our training.

I think we are on the brink of a big break-through and in a couple months this test will almost feel easy, and there will be other things that feel really hard. That's Dressage for ya! As soon as you figure one thing out, there are ten more things to trip you up. ;)

Anyway, I am proud of myself and my pony for how far we've come in the last year and can't wait to continue forward on our journey together.
